DESCRIPTION

Extremely lightweight and very high strength. New England Ropes WR² (Wire Rope Replacement) is perfect for replacing life lines and selected standing rigging on many types of boats.
WR² is lighter, more flexible, and has a much longer service life than wire.

• 100% Dyneema double braid featuring SK-78 fiber
• Coated with a proprietary urethane coating, it holds up very well in the marine environment
• Resistant to UV degradation
• Extremely low stretch
• Does not absorb water
• Easily tapered and spliced

Dynema® is the Dutch company DSM Dyneema's brand of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene fiber), a long chain, high strength, oriented strand, synthetic fiber with very high strength as well as high abrasion resistance.
This fiber is also known as HMPE (High Modulus PolyEthylene).
Dyneema is available in a number of formulations, SK-60, SK-75, SK-78, SK-90, etc. Each succeedingly stronger and more expensive.
