• Since top-down furlers require very high luff tension, a 2:1 adapter is available (and recommended).
• Also recommended is a halyard swivel installed on the end of the 2:1 halyard to release twisting in the halyard – see the EquipLite swivel products in Furling Accessories.
• To minimize twisting, Harken recommends using a dual luff cord system. This system uses thimbles to loop the cords around the tack and head of the sail.
• Furler includes drive unit, head swivel, reflex tack swivel terminal, snap shackle threaded adapter, reflex torsion cable & clamps.
