As an alternative to Tylaska's J-Lock style shackle, the Press Lock serves the same purpose with a different design, that is to say, opposing triggers. Both opposing triggers must be pressed at the same time to open the shackle, which safeguards against accidental opening during flogging.
Investment cast and then hipped in aerospace 17-4PH stainless steel, the Press Lock Junior and Senior are held to the same high standards as Tylaska's snap shackles. Designed to be strong and light, yet provide easy use in those tight mark roundings, they have proven to be up to the task.
The opposing trigger mechanism is ideal for sheets and other applications that require a smaller fitting. It is designed to pass through lead cars to make releading a sheet easier. It is also used by some customers in applications such as halyards, outhauls, and lead changers.
