All 8 Series blocks feature high-strenth, low-friction Nomex™/Teflon™ bearings for smooth operation under the toughest conditions. UC versions feature aluminum sheaves utilizing Delrin ball bearings with a Nomex/Teflon bearing.
Unlike Schaefer's Series 7 blocks with the same size sheave, these Series 8 blocks are not only stronger but with bolted construction, the sheaves can be replaced in the field - a big plus for cruisers.
