Profurl Classic & Elite Cruising Furling System

Profurl Classic and Elite furlers are bullet-proof reefing systems designed for heavy-duty use. They have an option for installations where the intent is to keep the furler drum as low as possible to the deck.

The drum is manufactured from a hard, unbreakable, UV-resistant plastic and is open for easy furling line inspection. Its slippery surface and conical flanges minimize any jamming. The strong stainless steel guard arms keep the furling line in the drum, should the line become slack during sail reefing.

• Standard with long link plates for keeping the drum above any deck obstructions such as windlasses
• Optional integrated turnbuckle cylinder (part # with “I” as the last letter) is usually required on boats with a forestay turnbuckle when a lowered furling drum is desired
• The Classic Series has a black drum with green-gold anodized swivels
• The “L” models of the Classic Furlers are heavier duty versions with dual bearing swivels, instead of single bearings in the “N” models; they also feature larger diameter drums that can handle longer furling lines
• Twin luff groove foils take #6 luff tape
• Stainless steel feeder and cage arms
• Includes Profurl wrap stop, a positive stop that totally eliminates any chance of halyard wraping around the forestay
• Options include additional lengths of extrusion and short link plates
