D2 Rope Clutch, Triple, 10-12mm
High load holding power with a controlled release.
Rope clutches are a great way to manage lines and allow a single winch to serve several halyards and control lines efficiently. They give sailors the ability to organize and secure halyards, reefing lines, furler lines, outhauls and much more. Lewmar D2 rope clutches take line control to the next level. A unique grip pattern in the domino mechanism locks line in place using a larger section of the rope. This approach not only reduces wear and tear on the line, but it gives users the ability to control the release—think of it like releasing the break of a car or truck. The comfortable variable geometry aluminum handle has a direct link to the domino mechanism to offer feedback and better control.
D2 rope clutches are best suited boats larger than 33 ft. and are sized to work with specific line diameters. Select a rope clutch for the largest size line you intend on using then select a single, double and triple clutches to manage different line configurations. Because of their higher load carrying properties, we recommend through-bolting rope clutches.
