Exit plates are used to lead any control line (internal halyards, pole lifts, etc.) through a spar wall, where no directional change is required. An Exit plate is installed in a slot, to prevent the line going through it from coming in contact with the spar wall. This prevents any abrasion of the spar wall, as well as minimizing chafe on the line. Suitable for use with wire or rope, most of the exit plates below feature welded or formed bars to prevent chafe on the interior mast wall, and smooth formed outer surfaces to reduce wear on all control lines.
